Community Project of the Year at MG Alba Scots Trad Music Award!

Absolutely delighted that the Summer Isles Festival has won Community Project of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 2014! I would like to thank everyone who voted for us, our sponsors Scottish Sea Farms, Highland Council, The Alasdair Scot Fund and all the volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. We are very lucky to still have a wealth of strong communities in Scotland, folk being active, putting on events and celebrating our culture and identity. The Summer Isles is an idyllic location for a festival with lots to celebrate from the community of Achiltibuie and this award will stand us in good stead for future years.
