March News
After a great February tour, Anna and I are going straight into the studio tomorrow to start working on album number 2. I'm very excited about how our new material is sounding and that's even before we have added numerous other instruments!I'm then heading up to Achiltibuie for a few days before teaching at Feis Rois so I shall hopefully fit in a climb up Stac Pollaidh and find some inspiration for my Distil composition for MacFall's. I'm trying a new approach of writing by focusing less on melodies and more on the layers of landscape beneath the tunes. It is a slow and challenging process for me writing for strings in this way but I'm sure the end result will be rewarding. It will be performed at the Tollbooth in Stirling on the 4th of May.My random new sideline job for the botanically based beauty, health and well being company, Arbonne, is going really well! I am heading for the 1st level of management at the end of this month. Please email if you would like to support my new business and treat yourself to some lovely products!Skin care....whatever next.....well, I have some exciting plans for the rest of this year and I will keep you posted.Cheers!M x
